Whamps[1] are wedge-shaped stone creatures found in Mario Kart World. They resemble Whomps as seen in Super Mario Galaxy 2, albeit with a frown instead of their regular mouths, and with three horizontal bandages on their back (resembling an arrow) as opposed to cross-shaped bandages. They can be found on routes around courses such as Airship Fortress, Bowser's Castle, Cheep Cheep Falls and Dry Bones Burnout, where they slowly roam around before attempting to crush any passing driver. After slamming down, their backs can be used as ramps to trick off.
