Super Mario–related role(s) Production assistant for Club Mario

Joseph Bridgers, referred to colloquially as Joe in the show, was the production assistant for the Club Mario segments of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! He has a small role in the Club Mario segment for "Pirates of Koopa," where he poses as a shark as part of "pirate day" by holding a pole with a shark's fin attached to it. When Tommy Treehugger complains about having to act like a pirate on "pirate day," Co-MC, going by "Pirate MC," tells him to "walk the plank," which is actually a surfboard. Tommy walks off of the "plank" and lands in the "ocean," (actually the floor of the Club Mario studio) where he pretends that the "water" is cold and that there are sharks before being hit by Joe with his pole repeatedly, telling him to stop hitting him.
